Indian shooting star Manu Bhaker, who has already won two medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has recently decided to post a message on Instagram to respond aggressively to her challengers by inspiring them.
After being scorned for “bringing her medals wherever she goes,” Bhaker responded by showing off all her accomplishments since her childhood. She also posted on X and ask the followers not to stop chasing after their dreams regardless of the type of obstacles endured.
In the post, Bhaker went through memory lane explaining how her path had been saying, “So, I was 14 when I decided to take it to the next level and start my journey in shooting. It was something that I never imagined would be this far. As you start on something, ensure you do everything and leave no stone unturned in pursuit of your dreams, no matter how hard it is.
Appropriate mindset is of utmost importance, and let focus be your head and the heart while your passion is the driver. Every little progress is one step toward greatness. The journey is a long one but don’t stop as you can do so much more than you ever thought imaginable! And yes, the orientation of this natural output is centered towards winning more and more Olympic gold medals.”

This entry came after she was ridiculed by internet trolls for “bragging about” her medals – some even dismissed it as a fixation for her. But Bhaker replied not with sarcasm, rather with pride and motivation. She explained her success by hard work and dedication as well as inspired the rest to keep going until they attain their goals.
While speaking with the Times of India, Bhaker recounted additional detail describing her unusual fascination with the medals she frequently wears to the events. “There is an instinct in every one to indulge in showing off someone’s medals, hence the reason why I carry mine just in case someone gets curious.
Even people ask me to please carry your medal when you come, and when I do and come for events, many pictures are clicked at these events.” Her answer shows how she combines these two aspects in reality – her achievements as a person and her responsibilities as a public person.
At just twenty two, Bhaker has made history in many aspects within such a short span of time. She achieved the record of being the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal and this is going to happen at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the bronze in women’s 10m air pistol event.
Along with Sarabjot Singh, She also became the part of India’s first ever shooting team to win a medal in the team event and won bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team.
This not only propelled her to win dual medals during an Olympic summer season, an honour which till then had been reserved for Norman Pritchard in the Paris games of 1900, but made her the first woman athlete of independent India. The history of every Bhaker is about great success, and, of course, her good fighting spirit is a constant reminder that hard work and determination bring good results. She may have elicited strong criticism, but she has continued to motivate an amazed number of people to pursue what they wish for without looking back.
