At the domestic box office, Tinu Suresh Desai’s The Great Bharat Rescue has not been doing well. Mission Raniganj, which debuted last week, has so far brought in close to 16 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.com. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra play the leading roles in the movie.
According to preliminary estimates, Mission Raniganj made 1.5 crore net on its fifth day in India, reports Sacnilk.com. The movie made 2.8 crore on the first day, 4.8 crore on the second, 5 crore on the third, and 1.50 crore on the fourth. The movie has so far made 15.6 crore rupees in India. On Tuesday, Mission Raniganj had a 9.6% occupancy rate for Hindi speakers.
Akshay recently discussed Mission Raniganj. One of his best films, in his opinion, was Mission Raniganj. According to ANI, he had stated, “Tinu deserves the National Award. He has been working so hard on the screenplay for the last four to five years. I am incredibly proud of the movie he did even though I have no idea how commercially successful it will be. And I’m pleased to declare that this is among my best productions.
Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor are the producers of Mission Ranignaj. The movie is based on the true story of the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who in November 1989 conducted India’s first successful coal mine rescue operation.
On the 2016 movie Rustom, Tinu and Akshay collaborated. Akshay recently cited Mission Raniganj as one of his top films. According to ANI, he declared at a news conference that Tinu “deserves the National Award. He has been working so hard on the screenplay for the last four to five years.
