Since the test match series between West Indies and India will take place on July 12, the Indian Cricket Team has landed in Barbados this week. The team members received a sweet surprise while they were rigorously preparing for their match against West Indies.

Legendary cricketer Garfield Sobers came to the field with his wife to meet the players of the Indian cricket team. The BCCI shared a video of the pleasant moment on Twitter. In the video, all players can be seen greeting Sir Garfield Sobers.

The head coach of the Indian Cricket Team Rahul Dravid introduced every team member to Sir Garfield Sobers. Cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubhman Gill were seen chatting and laughing with the legendary cricketer.

Kohli meets Sir Garfield Sobers

There is no doubt that Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers is a living legend in the world of cricket. This cricketer is considered the greatest all-rounder cricket has ever known. 

When Virat Kohli, a passionate and talented cricketer met this legend, it was a very special moment. The video posted by BCCI showed Virat Kohli smiling while shaking hands with Garfield Sobers.

The Caribbean Cricket Podcast also shared the clip on their account. Due to this, many fans playfully speculated that Kohli might be considering switching alliances to West Indies from India. 

Apart from Virat Kohli, other players of the team like Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Shubhman Gill, Shardul Thakur, etc, also met and talked with the living legend.

In the West Indies tour, India and West Indies will play against each other in three different formats. These formats are Test Match, ODI, and T20I. While players for Test Match and ODI have been revealed, the squad for T20I is not known yet.

The BCCI has stated that they will reveal the name of the team members at a later time. Now who makes the list of members and who misses out remains to be seen.
